Transformative Media Education Program

Course Description:

Students are introduced to the fundamentals of filmmaking, taking on the roles of directors, writers, and producers to create short narratives, PSA shorts, and documentaries. Through hands-on experience with 4K cameras, professional lighting, and sound equipment, participants develop practical storytelling skills and learn to maximize on-screen impact using accessible resources.

Program Highlights:

 Pre-production Mastery: Engage in the foundational aspects of filmmaking, focusing on storytelling and the utilization of cost-effective shooting equipment and editing technologies.

Hands-on Experience: From scripting to filming, students will operate HD digital cameras, professional lighting, and industry-standard editing software to bring their visions to life.

 Specialized Classes: Explore comprehensive workshops covering Director’s Craft, Screenwriting, Camera and Lighting Techniques, Production, Digital Editing, and Actor Direction.

Collaborative Projects: Engage in teamwork, rotating through essential roles such as director of photography and editor, culminating in a red-carpet screening event.
